Philip Voget

Phil Voget (1995-04) has been appointed as Assistant Brand Manager of Hansa Pilsener at SAB Miller. He will be handling the execution of all the various events and sponsorships that the brand is involved in, developing all point-of-sale and promotional materials as well as ensuring growth of the brand within SA.    He is very excited about this and says he is learning a lot.   Its a fantastic business to be involved in.   He is keen to meet up with other ODs in the Gauteng area.  Congratulations Phil!

Russell Adams

Russell Adams (1979-87) has recently resigned from The Mehta Group/Kolkata Knight Riders and has taken up the position of VP - Commercial Operations & Cricket Academy with the Royal Challengers Banglore (RCB), Indian Premier League franchise. He has signed a two year contract.   His role is to manage, co-ordinate and run the cricket business (commercially and operationally) for the United Spirits Limited company (who own RCB, owned by Dr Vijay Mallya).    Russell and his family  have now relocated to Bangalore.   Any ODs visiting Bangalore should contact him.   Congratulations Russell.

Chris Edwards

Chris Edwards (1991-93) has just completed in Racing The Planet: Nepal 2011. This is a 7 day, 250km, self-supported ultra-marathon on the Annapurna Circuit in the foothills of the Himalaya. In addition to the 4 back-to-back marathons (and a cheeky 5th day of 75-odd km's), he had to contend with a number of challenges on the course, including a combined ascent of 9,000m (1,500m per day), the prospect of altitude sickness and the horror of eating freeze-dried food for a week! 220 people started with only 170 odd finishing the grueling 6 stage race. He was placed 7th in the race overall, which included a 2nd place finish in stage 1.
Congratulations Chris on this great achievement. What next?  Pictures on the news picture gallery.
